The Comfort Of Another's Words.

E.E. Cummings said: "To be nobody but
yourself in a world which is doing its best,
night and day, to make you everybody else
means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop
fighting". Sometimes, after being your own encourager for a long time, in the journey to be yourself, the words of someone else can
be like a supporting hand reaching out to
help you along. There are so many pressures in our daily lives, pushing us to
abandon, who we really are, to "fit in" with
everyone around us...forgetting that if we live our lives trying to "fit in"...it's a sign that we may have left our authentic selves behind. Today I thank Mr Cummings for his
words...it is comforting to know that there are some others in this world who see what
I see..........................................Quester.
